Prizes and Rules

$5,000 U of M scholarship

If you chose to be entered in the scholarship drawing, you could win a scholarship, review rules and eligibility listed below.

Basics

• This is a one-time undergraduate tuition scholarship.
• Will draw for a primary winner, and also three back-up winners if primary or subsequent winners do not apply, or are not admissible.
• Winning this scholarship does not guarantee admission to any University of Minnesota campus.
• Prospective students must apply for admission once they are eligible to apply (must be either high school senior year for incoming college freshman, or as a currently enrolled college student seeking to transfer into the U of M).

Eligibility for prize

• Incoming degree-seeking undergraduate U of M student, no later than the fall 2028 semester (current high school freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors are eligible, or transfer students of any age, coming from outside the U of M system).
• Admitted up through Fall 2028 to one of the U of M system campuses (Crookston, Duluth, Morris, Rochester and Twin Cities).

Not eligible

• Currently enrolled U of M students including those entering in fall 2024.
• Scholarship cannot be used or transferred outside the University of Minnesota.
• No cash value.

Scholarship Disclaimers

• Failure to provide accurate contact information will void any winnings as we must be able to contact you to award prizes.
• The U of M scholarship can only be used toward tuition and fees. It does not have any cash value. It cannot be transferred to another student. Must be used by fall 2028 by a new incoming U of M student.
• The Discover packages are not transferable and not redeemable for cash.
• The University of Minnesota will share information about our great academics and programs with you.
• Current University of Minnesota students (including those entering in fall 2024), staff and faculty are not eligible to win.
• One entry per person.
